to stare at me, I know I am BEAUTIFUL
to ask me why I am special, mommy will tell you my brain was damaged at birth
to talk to me, I can hear everything you say
to touch me, I will not bite
to hold me, I am not fragile and you cannot break me
to sit with me, sometimes I just need a companion
to sing with me, I cannot speak words, but I can vocalize
to tell me a funny story, I have the best laugh
to shake my hand, I enjoy meeting new people
to hug me, I am the best cuddler
to kiss my cheeks, I will give you the world's best smile
to look at my wheelchair, I would be happy to take you for a ride
to dance with me, I love to be spun around and around
to include me in activities, I won't let my disability hold me back
to save me a spot, I always want to be included
to hold the door open, I bet my mommy's hands are full
to teach your children that though I am different, I am not scary
to be my friend, I can keep the best secrets
to pray for me, I feel them and they give my family strength
to tell my parents they're doing a good job, I know they need to hear it
TO LOVE ME, I ONLY HAVE LOVE TO GIVE!
